What a ripper!! This brilliantly imagined tale is a real feast for cricket tragics, but also for those of you who love a really good story. Taking place between the two world wars, 12 year old David Donald, who has an uncanny gift for spin bowling, lives on a remote farm in Western Australia with his grandfather, one time cricket player and coach. This book will take you on an unforgettable cricketing journey; the test series between Australia and England, played in Australia, and particularly those tests played in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. “Every night when I got back to my hotel room I couldn’t wait to see what was next for young David Donald. I loved the book and couldn’t put it down” says Justin Langer on the back cover (while on tour in New Zealand in March 2010). I agree – I loved it and couldn’t put it down either. It’s a treat!
